Account Strategist – Nonprofit Fundraising Account Manager
Job Description:
- Own day-to-day client service responsibilities for assigned accounts
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Prepare and lead client-facing presentations, status reports, campaign updates, and strategic recommendations
- Lead portions of client meetings and ensure timely follow-up on action items
- Serve as a key point of contact between clients and internal teams
- Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions
- Manage and resolve client issues
- Translate client goals into actionable campaign and fundraising strategies
- Contribute to annual planning, account strategy, campaign planning, and recommendations
- Develop integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns across digital, email, direct response, and emerging channels
- Own assigned campaign initiatives from strategy through execution
- Collaborate with strategy, creative, production, and analytics teams
- Review campaign materials for strategic alignment, accuracy, and quality
- Improve campaign effectiveness, processes, and team collaboration
- Maintain quality assurance processes and consistency across campaign outputs
- Support testing strategies and optimization recommendations
- Compile and organize campaign performance data
- Develop and present reporting materials, performance summaries, and strategic insights
- Monitor campaign performance to identify trends, opportunities, and variances
- Translate performance data into actionable recommendations
- Partner with analytics teams to support donor growth, retention, engagement, and fundraising performance
- Conduct market, audience, competitive, and industry research
- Serve as an informal mentor to junior team members
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, sound judgment, and increasing independence
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident, professional, and client-ready presence
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities, and proactively move work forward
- Working knowledge of integrated marketing channels and campaign execution
- Demonstrated understanding of fundraising principles, donor engagement, and campaign strategy preferred
- Ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong presentation and client communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Docs, including Google Sheets
- Working knowledge of project management, reporting, and AI tools
- 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing, fundraising, client service, account management, or a related field
