Accountant
QBO Hacks is seeking an Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and help maintain strong financial controls across the business. Position Summary The Accountant is responsible for maintaining timely and accurate financial records, supporting month-end and reporting activities, and ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with established policies. This role plays a key part in producing reliable financial information that leaders can use to make informed decisions. Working remotely from Greer, SC, you will partner with internal stakeholders to reconcile accounts, review financial activity for accuracy, and help improve processes that strengthen efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update general ledger records, ensuring transactions are properly coded and posted Prepare and support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting support Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting as needed Support bookkeeping and compliance-related activities by following established accounting procedures and document retention practices
Required Qualifications
Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a finance-related role with demonstrated attention to detail Strong knowledge of core accounting principles and the end-to-end flow of financial transactions Ability to reconcile accounts and investigate variances with a methodical, organized approach Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial record-keeping practices Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting month-end close and preparing or supporting financial reporting Familiarity with standard accounting workflows for accounts payable and accounts receivable processing Demonstrated ability to improve processes for efficiency, accuracy, and consistency Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
Compensation
Monthly salary: $30,000 - $70,000
