The practice is known for providing full subspecialty reports, often in under one hour, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic information. Studies are interpreted by fellowship-trained radiologists who specialize in musculoskeletal, neuro, breast, and body imaging, matching expertise to each patient’s specific needs. IMAGING ASSOCIATES AK operates three locations in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer, offering advanced imaging services and a collaborative clinical environment that supports high-quality patient care. Role Description The Accountant is a full-time remote role (MUST WORK FROM PACIFIC OR ALASKA TIME ZONE) responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations that support IMAGING ASSOCIATES AK’s multi-location practice. Typical responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing journal entries. The role also involves assisting with month-end and year-end close, generating financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The Accountant will help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and healthcare-related regulations, coordinate with billing and administrative teams, and provide clear, accurate financial information to leadership. This position requires consistent communication with internal stakeholders, secure handling of sensitive data, and disciplined time management in a remote work setting.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in general accounting practices, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries. 10 Years Accounting Experience within an accounting department 5 Years Remote Work Experience Proficiency with accounting software and office tools (e.g., QuickBooks Desktop a must, Microsoft Excel, AI tools Grok, Bill.com, Bill Spend and Expense, PayNorthwest a plus, Expiration Reminder a plus. Ability to analyze financial data, prepare clear reports, and support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Knowledge of basic regulatory and compliance requirements related to financial reporting; healthcare or medical practice experience is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a remote, full-time environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinical, billing, and administrative teams. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality and data security. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Administrative Accounting and Human Resource Tasks, as needed.
