AI/ML Solution Architect

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Job description Fully remote position in Latin America (Brazil or Argentina) or in the United States - Full-time employment - Daily overlap with both Central European Time and North American client hours. Are you an experienced AI/ML Solutions Architect with hands-on AWS experience? Join SnapSoft's AI/ML Service Line and work on international projects with our highly qualified engineering team, remotely and aligned to US working hours. You will see a lot of ideas move from POC to MVP to production, which means fast iteration and quick feedback on whether something actually works. What we build has to survive contact with real users, real data and real infrastructure. As an AI/ML Solutions Architect, you will design and deliver AI and data solutions across various client projects and act as the technical lead of project teams of 2-3 engineers. Our current work centres on agentic automation, LLM-based RAG systems, vector databases and integrating AI into our clients' existing application landscapes. You will work closely with colleagues from our Application Development and Cloud Migration service lines, as well as our PMO, Sales and Presales teams, on projects where AI, engineering and cloud come together. This is a client-facing role. Alongside delivery, you will spend roughly 20% of your time supporting presales activities. Most of your working day will overlap with US time zones, and a few hours of overlap with our Hungarian delivery team are needed. Occasional travel to Hungary or to client sites may come up, but it is rare. What you'll be doing - Own the end-to-end AI/ML solution architecture on client projects, acting as a key decision-maker and driving the delivery team - Act as a trusted advisor to clients: understand their business problems and provide technology consulting to identify the best-fit solution - Support presales activities (roughly 20% of your time), such as technical discovery, solution design and estimation - Technically lead a team of 2-3 AI and cloud engineers focused on fast prototyping and delivery of AI/ML solutions on AWS, and mentor junior and mid-level colleagues - Design and build agentic systems that plan, call tools and automate real business workflows - Develop LLM-powered applications, including RAG pipelines: chunking, embedding, retrieval strategies, evaluation and iteration - Work with vector databases and search: indexing strategies, hybrid and semantic search, relevance tuning - Perform prompt engineering, model selection and systematic evaluation of LLM outputs - Develop highly scalable services realizing AI/ML functionality (LLM, ML and other AI models) - Build scalable Python services and the data flows behind them (ingestion, transformation, document preparation), including AI-driven data access such as Text2SQL - Integrate AI services with external systems through APIs: REST endpoints, authentication, webhooks, third-party and client-side SaaS platforms - Implement AI solutions on AWS (e.g. Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, Textract) - Describe infrastructure as code with Terraform (Terragrunt) or AWS CloudFormation, and design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments - Stay up to date with AWS innovations and contribute to AWS Competency and Service Delivery Programs to support SnapSoft's AWS Partner journey You are looking for us, if you have - 5+ years of experience, including recent hands-on work on AI projects, from an AI/ML, data or backend engineering background - Previous experience in an architect role (this should not be your first architect position) - Hands-on experience with both GenAI and classic ML solutions - Strong AWS experience, including Amazon Bedrock, and experience with some of: SageMaker, Glue, MWAA, EMR, RDS, Aurora, S3, OpenSearch, ElasticSearch - Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with the GenAI ecosystem (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex, agent frameworks, LLM provider SDKs, Pydantic) - Solid understanding of LLM application concepts: RAG, embeddings, vector databases, tool calling, agent patterns, prompt engineering and evaluation - Good command of SQL and a working understanding of core data engineering concepts (ETL, pipelines, data modelling) - Proven experience designing, consuming and integrating APIs, and connecting AI services to existing systems - A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a consulting mindset and business acumen, and comfort working in client-facing situations - The ability to work independently and collaboratively with global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment - Availability to work in US time zones, with a few hours of overlap with our Hungarian team - Professional working proficiency in English Nice to have - AWS Solutions Architect Professional or another AWS Professional/Specialty certification - Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock - AgentCore Background at an AWS partner or another professional services company similar to SnapSoft - Experience with multiple cloud providers (cloud-agnostic experience) - Pre-sales engineering experience What we offer - A company culture based on autonomy and accountability - Fully remote position anywhere in the United States OR LATAM (Brazil or Argentina) - Flexible working hours with collaboration across US and European teams - High visibility across executive leadership with real influence on how our US delivery organization evolves - Work on innovative AWS Cloud Migration projects for fast-growing startups and enterprise customers - Travel: Occasional business travel for strategic customer engagements Do you see yourself in this role?
