Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity for a junior attorney to gain hands-on experience in high-stakes litigation, work alongside seasoned trial lawyers, and contribute to impactful legal strategies.A nationally recognized, majority women-owned law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team.The firm specializes in complex legal matters involving scientific, regulatory, and technological issues, and represents major corporate clients across more than 20 states.Position OverviewThe Associate Attorney will support national litigation efforts, manage case files, draft legal documents, conduct depositions, and participate in hearings and settlement negotiations.The role requires strong analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop case strategies and trial themesDraft motions, pleadings, and discovery documentsConduct legal research and risk analysisTake and defend depositions (lay, expert, corporate)Prepare witnesses and support trial preparationArgue motions and participate in hearings and mediationsCollaborate with internal teams and co-defense counselSupervise paralegal work and manage litigation tasksBuild and maintain client relationshipsMeet billable hour requirements and maintain accurate timekeepingQualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to California State Bar2-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm settingExperience in mass torts, class actions, environmental, commercial, or complex litigation preferredStrong legal writing, research, and communication skillsAbility to manage deadlines and work under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with FileVine or similar document management systems preferredCommitment to professional development and client service. Experience: 3 years required
