Fully remote contractor role - South Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Provision, configure, and monitor Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
- Implement security measures and manage access controls in Azure.
- Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery strategies for Azure resources.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate application deployment processes.
- Evaluate and recommend Azure services based on project needs and constraints.
- Implement version control and repository management for Azure projects.
- Integrate applications with Azure databases, storage, and other services.
- Perform database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery in Azure.
- Configure and manage identity and access controls in Azure.
- Implement network security and access controls in Azure.
- Configure and manage virtual networks in Azure.
- Implement network security and access controls in Azure.
- Optimize network performance to troubleshoot network issues.
- Integrate on-premises networks with Azure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Microsoft Certified: Any Azure Expert certification
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design principles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services and resources.
- Experience with Azure App Service and Azure Functions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with Azure data services. Mostly includes Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong understanding of Azure security features and services.
- Experience with Azure networking services like Azure Virtual Network, Azure VPN Gateway, etc.
- Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) in developing templates for easier resource deployment.
- Knowledge with Networking using Express Routes.
