About Our Client: The organization partners exclusively with nonprofit entities across various sectors, offering specialized support in finance, human resources, fundraising, and technology. About the Opportunity: The BOOKKEEPER role supports day-to-day accounting for nonprofit clients by managing transaction recording, reconciliations, and accounts payable and receivable. This position contributes to maintaining accurate and timely financial records, which is essential for the operational success of the organization's clients. It is suited for someone developing their bookkeeping career who values detailed and consistent financial work. Responsibilities: Record transactions and maintain general ledgers for assigned nonprofit clients. Process vendor bills, prepare invoices, record deposits, and follow up on outstanding balances. Complete monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Support month-end close tasks, including journal entries and supporting schedules. Track restricted funds and grant activity; assist with audit and tax preparation. Collaborate with the bookkeeping director and finance team to ensure consistency and respond to client accounting inquiries. Maintain organized financial records and adhere to documented procedures. Requirements: 1 to 3 years of bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience. Experience managing books for multiple clients or entities preferred. Familiarity with nonprofit accounting practices and basic GAAP principles is a plus. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is beneficial. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a fully remote work environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Pay Range and Compensation Package: $25–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
