Business Development Manager
About Amtech Amtech Electrocircuits is a family-owned contract electronics manufacturer in Troy, Michigan, with about 30 years in operation. We build high-mix, quick-turn PCBA, box builds, and wire harnesses from prototype to mid-volume. Our customers work in IoT hardware, instrumentation and measurement, semiconductors, and automotive aftermarket. Amtech holds ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IPC-A-610 certifications. You will sell with the backing of a hardware technology stack that other contract manufacturers do not have. We are also launching agentic AI systems that keep our business processes running smoothly and pay attention to the details, so quality holds as we scale. The Role This is not a lead-handoff role. You bring active customer relationships and a pipeline. We bring engineering support and a responsive high-mix factory. Your responsibility will be to drive business to meet our 1-, 3-, and 10-year goals by opening new accounts and turning first orders into long-term customers. This can be a remote position.
What You'll Do
Open new accounts in quick-turn, prototype, NPI, and high-mix Bring qualified RFQs from engineers, hardware startups, and OEM buyers Work with Amtech engineering to set correct expectations on lead time, DFM, and capability Negotiate and close deals, and manage them from first contact to first order Hand off to customer service for repeat orders Keep pipeline and activity current in HubSpot
What We're Looking For
Sales experience in PCBA, PCB fabrication, EMS/CEM, or electronic component distribution Active relationships with engineers and buyers who need high-mix, quick-turn builds A record of opening new accounts. You can name the accounts and recent RFQs you can bring. You generate your own leads and do not depend on the company to supply them Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills Backgrounds That Fit Well CEM / EMS sales reps PCB fabrication (board house) sales reps Component distributor reps and FAEs who see NPI projects early Reps whose CEM was acquired or closed and whose customers need a new build partner

Knowledge of SMT, through-hole, and electronics manufacturing processes
Compensation
Base salary of $90,000 to $120,000, based on experience and the accounts and pipeline you bring Plus commission on new account sales Note: Amtech does not do ITAR work. This role is not a fit if your customers need high-volume, low-mix production or ITAR builds.
