Know your way around U of M? Always discovering new places, coming up with creative ideas or bringing people together? Yelp is looking for a Campus Ambassador to help students discover the best of what’s around them. This is a part-time, hourly, fixed-term role from January through December 2027.
As a Yelp Campus Ambassador, you’ll be working approximately 10 hours per week on a flexible schedule to grow Yelp’s presence on campus and build community within your university. You'll have the support and guidance of Yelp’s community expansion team, plus opportunities to collaborate with Campus Ambassadors across the country to share ideas and bring creative campaigns to life. It’s a chance to put your ideas into action, make meaningful connections and gain hands-on experience representing a national brand.
What you'll do:- Plan and host 2-3 Yelp events or experiences each semester for university students
- Create original content for Yelp’s social channels
- Build local guides and inspire students to discover and spread the word about their favorite businesses on Yelp
- Partner with university clubs and organizations to get the word out about the Yelp community
- Develop creative, grassroots marketing ideas that get students talking about Yelp
- Join regular check-ins with the Yelp U program lead and share event results and campus insights
- You are currently enrolled as a student at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and plan to remain enrolled through December 2027
- You live on or within 30 minutes of U of M campus housing
- You are available to work 10 hours a week through the end of year
- You genuinely love to help people discover and support local businesses
- You’re the leader and planner among your friend group, club, team, or dorm floor
- You’re savvy on social media and can turn a meal into a moment
- You’re full of ideas, take initiative and know how to make things happen
- You’re organized and reliable, and can balance this role with your coursework
Compensation range for this position is $20-$25 per hour.
