Role Description The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Dr. MVMNT is a pier diem, mobile role responsible for supporting occupational therapy services within a concierge movement and rehabilitation model. Day-to-day tasks include implementing individualized treatment plans, assisting with movement analysis, supporting postural retraining, and guiding clients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitative programs. The COTA will collaborate with occupational therapists and other team members to monitor progress, adjust interventions, and ensure high-quality, client-centered care. Additional responsibilities include documenting sessions, educating clients on safe movement strategies, and contributing to the development of holistic wellness and recovery programs delivered virtually or in home-based settings.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation to support client-centered treatment plans and recovery programs. Experience in Patient Care and Home Care to provide safe, effective, and compassionate services in remote and concierge settings. Ability to contribute to Program Development, including creating and refining individualized movement, wellness, and rehabilitative plans. Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and eligibility for licensure in relevant jurisdictions. Strong communication, documentation, and telehealth skills, with comfort using digital platforms to deliver care. Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and independently with minimal supervision. Prior experience in fitness, movement coaching, or holistic rehabilitation environments is beneficial.
