I’m Amelia Bristol, owner of Bristol Consulting, a boutique consulting firm that supports business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizations with strategic planning and implementation support. As my business continues to grow, I’m looking to bring on a part-time contractor who can support client relationships, business development, marketing, and day-to-day operations, with the opportunity to grow into a larger role within the company. THE ROLE This is a paid, independent contractor role designed for someone who enjoys a mix of client-facing work, business development, marketing, and operational support. It's a strong fit for someone who is personable, resourceful, professionally confident, and interested in helping grow both a consulting practice and the businesses it serves. The Client Support & Business Development Consultant will help strengthen client relationships, support business growth, and keep projects and operations moving smoothly. This role goes beyond completing assigned tasks. I'm looking for someone who can take initiative, exercise good judgment, communicate confidently with clients, and eventually take ownership of projects and client relationships with minimal oversight. Work will vary based on client needs and business development priorities. On the client side, this may include communicating directly with clients, coordinating projects and deliverables, participating in client meetings, supporting marketing initiatives, conducting market research, creating branded materials, making website updates (Wix or similar platforms), and assisting with ongoing client strategy and implementation. On the business development side, responsibilities may include attending networking events, prospecting, developing referral relationships, following up with prospective clients, identifying business opportunities, and representing Bristol Consulting within the local business community. Administrative responsibilities may also include CRM updates, scheduling, file organization, and general operational support. This is a hybrid/remote position with in-person meetings and business development activities in the Brazos Valley at least once per week. Candidates must be comfortable meeting with clients, attending networking events, and representing Bristol Consulting professionally. The role requires versatility, including the ability to step into marketing, graphic design, social media, or other client support needs as business priorities change. This role offers flexible, part-time work as an independent contractor, typically around 15 hours per week depending on workload and availability. There is significant opportunity for increased hours, responsibility, and advancement as the business continues to grow. My long-term vision is for this person to develop into a trusted representative of Bristol Consulting who can independently manage client relationships, lead projects, contribute to business development, and take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities. In return, you'll gain hands-on experience working with a variety of businesses and industries, developing professional relationships, and contributing to the growth of an expanding consulting firm. You'll receive direction, feedback, and support as you learn our processes, with increasing autonomy and opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities as you grow in the role. COMPENSATION Compensation for this role typically ranges from $18-22 per hour depending on experience. Hours will vary based on workload and client demand, with most weeks initially averaging about 15 hours. Opportunities for increased hours and compensation may become available as responsibilities and business needs expand.
