Communication Specialist – MOMS Helpline || Indianapolis, IN
Position Title:- Communication Specialist – MOMS Helpline (Remote) Location: Indianapolis, IN Position type: Contract Interview Process:- Only Video We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Communication Specialist to support the MOMS Helpline. The selected candidate will assist pregnant women, mothers, and families by connecting them with healthcare services, community resources, and family support programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls and identify callers' needs.
- Provide appropriate referrals to healthcare, social services, home-visiting, and child development programs.
- Conduct intake screenings and follow up with clients.
- Maintain accurate case records and prepare daily call and referral reports.
- Communicate professionally with families, service providers, and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Social Work, Human Services, Education, Healthcare, IT, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in call centers, healthcare support, social services, family support, or community referrals.
- Knowledge of maternal and child health or early childhood development.
- Spanish, Burmese, or Haitian Creole language skills are a plus.
