Construction Project Manager – Detention Equipment Industry – Fully Remote

Fusco Personnel is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with detention equipment industry experience to join a growing organization specializing in physical security equipment, including detention equipment and high-security blast/ballistic doors and hardware. This is a fully remote position, ideally suited for a professional who has hands-on knowledge of detention hardware, locks, controls, and security installations, and can bring that expertise into managing complex projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating teams, controlling project performance, and delivering high-quality results on schedule — all from a remote setting. Remote Serve as Project Manager with oversight and guidance from senior leadership, working remotely. Apply detention equipment and security hardware knowledge to review contract documents and fully understand project scope, requirements, and timelines. Negotiate and execute contracts, purchase orders, and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers. Manage and process change orders, ensuring proper documentation and organization. Plan and oversee all phases of construction projects from initiation through completion. Ensure projects are completed on time and in accordance with contractual obligations. Monitor and enforce all administrative and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate and prepare hardware schedules, submittals, drawings, and related documentation for detention equipment and security hardware installations. Manage project financials, including profit and loss, to maintain overall profitability. Develop and maintain strong client relationships remotely while safeguarding company interests. Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely project billing. Communicate effectively with internal teams, field crews, and external partners to resolve issues and drive solutions in a remote work environment. Promote and support safety initiatives across office, manufacturing, and job site environments, coordinating remotely with on-site teams. Attend and participate in project and production meetings virtually, with occasional site visits as needed. Qualifications: Experience with detention equipment and installation required — candidates should have direct, hands-on background with detention hardware, locks, controls, gates, or high-security doors. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry. Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field required; equivalent certifications and relevant industry experience will be considered. Proven ability to manage large, diverse project teams preferred, including remote coordination with subcontractors and field personnel. Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and Bluebeam required. Comfortable working independently in a fully remote capacity, with strong self-direction and communication skills.
