Responsibilities
- Drive, negotiate and finalize various agreements in different jurisdictions, including sales, licensing, distribution, consultancy, services, NDAs and much more;
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice and recommendations on numerous legal and business issues;
- Provide legal advice regarding a wide variety of legal matters to the company's different departments (Sales, Product, R&D, MIS, IT)
- Monitor and provide guidance on data privacy and other applicable laws and regulations;
- Create and maintain standard templates, business processes and internal policies to help scale the business
- Interface with and manage support from outside counsel as needed.
Requirements/Experience:
- Juris Doctorate - Graduate from accredited law school
- 5-7 years working experience within a technology company (either leading law firm or a tech company)
- Commercial counsel only
- Experience working with government (i.e. federal) customers and familiar with FAR and DFAR Provisions
- Working knowledge of: licensing and privacy and data protection laws (trademark/patent law knowledge an advantage)
- Negotiation skills with external and internal stakeholders
- Prior global business working experience
