Customer Billing Support Specialist
About the Opportunity The organization is seeking a full-time Customer Billing Support Specialist to provide front-line customer assistance, manage daily billing tasks, and resolve account inquiries with accuracy and timely follow-through. Working under the direction of the Billing Manager and collaborating closely with the Accounting Team, this remote position is based in the United States and operates during Mountain or Pacific business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming billing support requests via email, chat, and scheduled phone support. Perform daily billing operations, including issuing invoices, preparing refunds and credits, processing account updates, and responding to billing inquiries. Verify and maintain accurate customer contact and account records. Troubleshoot and resolve electronic payment failures. Complete customer vendor setup requirements, providing basic organizational and banking details. Meet or exceed established inbound ticket quotas while resolving customer requests efficiently and professionally. Assist in creating and maintaining written and video documentation for internal billing processes and procedures. Support special projects and administrative initiatives as directed by management. Required Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in a customer service role. Working or foundational knowledge of billing concepts, particularly SaaS billing and recurring subscriptions. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly. Demonstrated organization, accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Capability to multitask, manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and adapt to shifting priorities. Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Practical skills in billing processes, technology navigation, data analysis, and tool adoption. Foundational understanding of accounting, business concepts, and operational workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Salesforce, Zuora, Zendesk, or comparable billing and ticketing platforms. Compensation and Schedule Base salary: $55,000–$60,000 USD per year. Discretionary bonus: Up to 5% of base salary. Employment type: Full time. Location: Remote within the United States, working Mountain or Pacific hours.
