About the Role
The Dental Practice Mechanics is seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Billing Specialist to join our growing remote team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong dental billing experience and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the dental revenue cycle, including insurance payment posting and claim processing.
- Submit clean claims and resolve claim rejections and denials.
- Apply insurance payment adjustments and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) procedures.
- Maintain accounts receivable and work to reduce insurance aging.
- Utilize payer portals, clearinghouses, and practice management software.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate patient account documentation.
- Support a portfolio of 4 to 5 dental practice clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of dental insurance billing experience, including multi-office account management.
- Strong knowledge of CDT coding, dental terminology, and revenue cycle management.
- Experience with insurance payer websites, EFT retrieval, claims submission, and payment posting.
- Familiarity with clearinghouses; Vyne experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Dentrix, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.

- Maintain 98%+ posting accuracy.
- Achieve a 90%+ audit score.
