# DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer ## About the Role Summit Racing Equipment is seeking a DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support software development teams across the application lifecycle, from development platforms and compilation through deployment and production support. This role serves as a bridge between software development and infrastructure teams, helping ensure clear technical requirements, reliable deployments, and effective software delivery processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, continuous learning, technical problem-solving, and the ability to document and improve systems and processes supporting the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). ## Key Responsibilities Support and facilitate communication across software development and infrastructure teams. Own systems and service monitoring activities. Own and support software deployment processes. Organize and execute application deployments. Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket to manage deployment-related issues and information. Create release structures and deploy application code. Research emerging technologies and processes and develop proof-of-concepts. Support and enhance the organization's SDLC. Serve as a technical knowledge resource for identifying appropriate contacts when issues arise. Create and maintain documentation for systems, technologies, tools, and operational processes. Contribute to continuous improvement of software delivery and operational processes. ## Required Qualifications Proven experience in CI/CD, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Systems Engineering roles. Strong experience with Git or equivalent version control systems. Strong experience with systems or service monitoring tools and methodologies. Knowledge of: TCP/IP networking Linux server administration Windows server administration Various operating systems Virtual machine administration Web technologies, including client/server applications, APIs, load balancers, and certificates Understanding of QA testing and concepts. At least 5 years of IT engineering experience in an enterprise environment. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Must not require employment sponsorship. Must reside in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, or Texas for consideration. ## Preferred Qualifications Experience with integration frameworks such as Selenium and Appium. Exposure to .NET Framework/Core. Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Octopus, Jenkins, and TeamCity. Automation and orchestration experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Development experience with Python or Node.js. Experience with VM administration and enterprise infrastructure environments.
