Role Description The Director of Marketing Communications is a full-time, remote role responsible for developing and executing CoinFund’s integrated communications strategy. This role oversees external messaging across press releases, media outreach, social channels, website content, and investor communications to strengthen the firm’s brand and thought leadership in the crypto and Web3 sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include crafting strategic narratives, managing media relations, coordinating public announcements, and aligning marketing communications with business objectives and portfolio initiatives. The Director will collaborate with leadership, investment, and operations teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant messaging, and will measure the impact of communications campaigns using data-driven insights. This position also involves mentoring team members, managing external agencies or vendors as needed, and proactively identifying opportunities to elevate CoinFund’s presence in key markets.
Qualifications
Strong Marketing Communications and Marketing skills, with experience developing integrated campaigns and brand positioning. Expertise in Public Relations and Media Relations, including managing relationships with journalists and key industry outlets. Proficiency in creating and overseeing Press Releases, announcements, and other external communications materials. Demonstrated ability to craft clear, compelling narratives for complex or technical topics, preferably in finance, technology, or crypto. 5+ years in senior marketing communications or PR roles, ideally within investment management, fintech, or high-growth technology companies. Proven experience managing communications strategy in a remote, distributed team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and editorial standards. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. Familiarity with digital assets, blockchain technology, and Web3 trends, or a strong interest and willingness to learn. Ability to develop and track KPIs for communications initiatives, using analytics tools to optimize performance.
