Job Title: Dynatrace SME (Subject Matter Expert)/Dynatrace Administrator Sr. Location: Remote (Washington DC) Duration: 12 Months Contract Client: Railway Industry Pay Rate: $70 to $74/h on W2 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead enterprise observability and application performance monitoring initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Dynatrace administration, implementation, monitoring strategy, performance analysis, and troubleshooting across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Dynatrace SME for enterprise monitoring and observability solutions. Design, implement, and support Dynatrace monitoring across applications, infrastructure, cloud, and containers. Configure and manage Dynatrace OneAgent, ActiveGate, dashboards, alerts, and reports. Analyze application performance issues and provide proactive recommendations. Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams to improve system reliability and performance. Develop monitoring standards, best practices, and governance processes. Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical production incidents. Support integrations with ServiceNow, Splunk, cloud platforms, and CI/CD tools. Required Skills 7+ years of IT Operations, Monitoring, or Observability experience. 5+ years of hands-on Dynatrace experience. Strong expertise in APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, and Observability. Experience with Dynatrace OneAgent, ActiveGate, Real User Monitoring (RUM), and Synthetic Monitoring. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Knowledge of Linux, Windows, networking, and cloud technologies. Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, or Prometheus. Kubernetes/OpenShift experience. DevOps and CI/CD pipeline exposure. Dynatrace certifications preferred.
