Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Experience: 5 10+ years Location: Remote; candidates willing to relocate to Minneapolis are preferred, USA Interview: 3 rounds 2 Internal + 1 Client Coding: Hands-on coding test will be part of the interview process Visa: L2S, TN Visa (minimum 1 year validity required) Job Overview We are looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with business and engineering teams at UHG. The candidate will identify business problems and build AI/GenAI solutions, automations, and integrations that deliver real business value. This is a coding and implementation-focused role, not an advisory-only position.

Key Responsibilities

Work directly with business and engineering teams to understand problems and requirements. Build and deploy AI/GenAI solutions, prototypes, automations, and integrations. Develop production-ready applications using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, .NET/C#, or Go. Work with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and third-party integrations. Build solutions using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, and AI workflow automation. Work with structured and unstructured data. Integrate platforms such as Salesforce, Jira, ServiceNow, Oracle, or similar tools. Support solution deployment, adoption, documentation, and scaling. Required Skills 5+ years of strong software/AI engineering experience. Strong hands-on coding skills in at least one major programming language. Strong hands-on experience with AI/GenAI and LLM technologies. Experience with RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, model integration, or AI automation. Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, authentication, cloud, and deployments. Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with data and analytics platforms. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable working directly with business/client teams.
