HR Business Analyst - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking an HR Business Analyst - Remote for a 12+ month contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Kansas City, MO. Compensation: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: You will join a group of curious, highly skilled professionals who are passionate about enabling effective technology and data solutions for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Pay, Rewards, and Administrative HR functions. As the HR Business Analyst, you will translate business needs and policy decisions into precise requirements for an enterprise HCM system (Workday) and supporting practices, document end-to-end processes, and ensure designs are testable and implementable. Key Responsibilities: Map HR processes impacting cross-departmental manager actions (hiring, job changes, performance, compensation, onboarding/offboarding, ER), capturing friction and variation Convert alignment decisions into system-ready requirements (business processes and policies, approval flows, escalation paths, visibility/reporting) Collaborate with the ERP Support Office and downstream owners to document data flows, reporting frameworks, and integration impacts Participate in prototype-led design; define acceptance criteria; author test cases; support user acceptance testing and defect triage Provide evidence for recommendations and alignment options; contribute to risk/impact and readiness assessments Develop comprehensive process maps and requirements packages (including routing, approvals, reporting) Create impact assessments (workflows, downstream systems, integrations) and data/report specifications Author test plans, UAT scripts, and traceability from policy decisions to configuration objects Primary Requirements: Typically requires at least 6+ years of relevant experience Bachelor's degree specializing in computer science, information technology, project management, business administration, or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Senior understanding of subject with in-depth and/or breadth of knowledge in discipline Performs work independently with limited supervision and direction and serves as a resource for less experienced staff Strong, process-focused analyst with exceptional skill documenting business processes and articulating complex workflows Experience translating stakeholder input into well-organized, actionable requirements Desired Skills: Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is a plus Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
