IBHS Written Order Specialist – Fully Licensed Clinician Company: OMNI Health Services Location: Pennsylvania Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Experience Level: Experienced Professional Job Summary OMNI Health Services is seeking a fully licensed behavioral health professional with a Master's degree and experience in Pennsylvania's Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience preparing, writing, reviewing, and updating IBHS Written Orders in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations, clinical standards, and insurance requirements. This position requires an experienced clinician who possesses a strong understanding of IBHS services, medical necessity, clinical assessments, treatment recommendations, and regulatory documentation requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Written Orders are clinically appropriate, individualized, accurate, and compliant with applicable Pennsylvania regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, write, review, and update IBHS Written Orders in accordance with Pennsylvania DHS regulations and applicable payer requirements. Review clinical assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, and supporting documentation to develop appropriate Written Orders. Ensure Written Orders accurately identify the individual's clinical needs, recommended services, treatment goals, and medical necessity. Collaborate with clinical supervisors, behavior consultants, therapists, and other members of the treatment team. Monitor Written Order expiration dates and ensure timely completion of renewals and updates. Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Identify and address documentation deficiencies and assist with correcting outstanding documentation. Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential clinical records. Remain current on Pennsylvania IBHS regulations, licensing requirements, and insurance documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field. Current, active, unrestricted Pennsylvania professional license required. License must be appropriate for independently issuing IBHS Written Orders under applicable Pennsylvania regulations. Previous experience working within Pennsylvania's IBHS program. Demonstrated experience preparing, writing, and updating IBHS Written Orders. Strong understanding of Pennsylvania IBHS regulations and clinical documentation requirements. Knowledge of medical necessity, clinical assessments, treatment planning, and service recommendations. Excellent written communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical leadership and treatment teams. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with behavioral health agencies serving children, adolescents, and families. Familiarity with Pennsylvania DHS audits and insurance authorization requirements. Experience managing Written Order renewals, documentation reviews, and clinical compliance. Previous experience supporting IBHS programs through regulatory audits or quality assurance initiatives.
