Illustration Agent

We are looking for an individual to join our team at Astound Us as an Illustration Representative / Illustration Agent at an entry level. If you have experience in Publishing or Sales, we can offer an increased package. We offer a comprehensive training package which covers sales training, artist briefing and development, project management, and creative trend awareness. You will be using all of those skills and more as an Astound Us Agent! We can fast-track your training and salary expectations! New Minneapolis Office! This role is fully remote - which means you can work from home, or anywhere, but we are looking for an individual based in the US. If you are based in the Minneapolis area, that's fantastic because we have recently located there and have serviced offices, so you will be able to meet the team and be trained one-to-one. An Illustration Agent is the middle person between illustrators and clients so you work with the Astound Us artists to develop & create marketable/saleable work, make the connection between artist and client, and ensure everything works out during the project. There is an existing group of clients that you will look after following training, and there is a degree of new business development. In a nutshell, it's a creative sales role. Sounds like fun?- it is! The role's starting salary is $55++ with OTE $100 ++ depending on experience and after training. Expect a long and lucrative career at Astound Us (we have a very high retention rate), the market in kids and decorative publishing is buoyant and above all the people in it are great. We offer full training in a casual virtual environment. Expenses are paid to travel - World Wide, London, Italy etc. or if you need to face to face meet-up. We offer a bonus scheme to prove that we reward success and hard work alongside great healthcare plans. Working hours for this position is Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Interviews will be held on online on an ongoing basis. Desired Skills and Experience. Candidates who meet the following requirements should apply: - Fluent in English - An interest in art and illustration that extends to formal education. - Creative - a good eye. - Good communicator, able to rebut, sell, empathize and negotiate. - Multi-task individually or as part of a team. - Be comfortable traveling alone and possibly over multiple weekends. - Mac and social media savvy. - Highly organized. - Generally brilliant and making things happen on your own.
