Interpreter – English/Japanese, Remote Contract
Job Description:
- Provide over-the-phone and video remote interpretation services in English and Japanese
- Bridge communication gaps for people requiring language assistance
- Deliver reliable, unbiased, empathetic, courteous, accurate, and professional interpretation
- Complete onboarding evaluations, including an English proficiency test, mock interpretation session, and medical terminology assessment
- Complete background check and security screening
- Sign an Independent Contractor Agreement and confidentiality commitment, including HIPAA compliance
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Japanese
- Dedication to courteous, accurate, and professional interpretation services
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- English proficiency at ILR level 3 or higher, demonstrated through a technical proficiency test
- Successful completion of a live mock interpretation evaluation
- Passing score on a medical terminology assessment covering medical terms, anatomy, and physiology
- Successful background check and security screening
- Ability to sign an Independent Contractor Agreement and confidentiality commitment, including HIPAA compliance
- Resume submission
- Certifications showcasing skills or relevant experience, if available
