iOS Software Engineer Remote (San Francisco based) What You'll Be Doing
- Build and maintain production-grade iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
- Develop AI-powered experiences through backend APIs
- Design intuitive user experiences for streaming responses, loading states, retries and graceful fallbacks
- Optimise application performance, memory usage and battery efficiency
- Capture user feedback and behavioural signals to improve AI quality over time
- Partner closely with backend and machine learning engineers to shape APIs and product behaviour
- Deliver secure, scalable and highly reliable applications with App Store quality standards
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience using Swift
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into mobile applications
- Strong understanding of Swift Concurrency, async/await and background task management
- Excellent performance profiling and memory optimisation skills
- Experience shipping and supporting production iOS applications
- The ability to design for latency, partial failures and the unpredictable nature of AI systems
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- SwiftUI
- Core ML or on-device machine learning
- Feature flags or remote configuration platforms
- Designing user experiences for AI products where trust, transparency and responsiveness are essential
