Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Job Overview

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations of our corporate endpoints, email communications, virtualized IT infrastructure, and systems as well as data security defense layers. You will act as a critical technical bridge, maintaining high availability and a robust security posture for our internal teams, distribution networks, and nationwide branch setups.

Key Responsibilities Virtualization & Server Management

  • Monitor, provision, and configure virtual machines (VMs) using VMware vSphere (ESXi hosts and vCenter Server) to support internal infrastructure requirements.

Endpoint Security Management

  • Deploy, administer, and monitor enterprise Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Antivirus, and anti-malware solutions across all corporate laptops, desktops, and servers. Conduct regular OS/software patch management, enforce mobile device management (MDM) security policies, oversee full-disk encryption (BitLocker/FileVault), and respond to basic security alerts or endpoint vulnerabilities.

Exchange & Email Administration

  • Perform basic Microsoft Exchange Administration tasks, including managing enterprise user mailboxes, configuring shared mailboxes, setting up distribution groups, managing mail flow rules, and troubleshooting email delivery or synchronization issues.

Printer & Peripherals Maintenance

  • Manage the setup, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of networked office printers, heavy-duty label/barcode printers (crucial for distribution), and multi-function peripherals (MFPs). Configure print servers, manage queue deployments, map network printers for users, and coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware servicing and lease replacements.

Technical Support

  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and corporate operating system (Windows/macOS) issues

Identity & Access Management

  • Manage user lifecycles (onboarding/offboarding), security group permissions, and cloud identity profiles using Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365.

Network Connectivity

  • Maintain and troubleshoot secure local connections, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi setups, secure VPN tunnels, DNS/DHCP configurations, and basic firewall rules.

Backup & Performance Monitoring

  • Conduct host performance monitoring, allocate hardware resources (CPU/RAM/Datastores), manage VM snapshots, and regularly verify operational system and data backups.

IT Asset & Inventory Management

  • Log incidents accurately in our ITSM ticketing system while tracking hardware lifecycles, software licenses, and compliance standards.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in an IT support desktop engineering, or systems administration environment.
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Preferred Certifications: VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified) are highly advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills to handle internal stakeholders, and an independent work ethic.

Specialized Expertise:

  • At least 1–2 years of active exposure deploying or maintaining VMware systems.
  • Practical experience dealing with Microsoft Exchange Online (M365) or hybrid/on-premise Exchange Server setups.
  • Proven experience with corporate endpoint security suites (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike, Trend Micro, or Sophos) and centralized patch management tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting network print environments, thermal label printers, and managing print queues.
Technical Skills:
  • Solid mastery of Windows 10/11, Windows Server environments, and corporate M365 ecosystems.
  • Good understanding of storage concepts related to virtualization (SAN/NAS storage allocations).
  • Fundamental understanding of networking layers, cybersecurity baselines, and email authentication protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, MX records, Print Server management, encryption baselines).
