Job Description

Key Technical Skills

• 12 to 15 years Strong experience developing and executing automated API functional tests using Java and Rest Assured.
• Strong Java programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON/XML, request/response validation, authentication, and API assertions.
• Experience developing reusable and maintainable API automation frameworks.
• Experience with Maven and Java development using IntelliJ IDEA.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructure.
• Experience with manual functional testing using tools such as HP ALM or Xray.
• Experience with test reporting and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with Fedwire applications, particularly Securities, is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated API functional tests using Java and Rest Assured.
• Code and troubleshoot Java automation scripts on a daily basis.
• Identify and prioritize critical business workflows and API scenarios for automation.
• Develop configurable, reusable, maintainable, and dependable automation components.
• Work toward achieving the defined API automation coverage targets across the DDS application.
• Integrate automated API tests with existing test frameworks, reporting tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure test plans and automation scenarios align with business and technical requirements.
• Participate in software design, requirements, and review sessions to identify test automation opportunities.
• Execute test plans, analyze test results, document defects, and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Prepare and acquire appropriate test data for automated and manual testing.
• Conduct peer reviews of test automation code and related work products.
• Support manual testers by identifying test cases that can be converted into automated scripts.
• Assist with test environment setup, configuration, validation, and maintenance.
• Participate in production deployment testing, remediation, and regression testing activities.
• Maintain and enhance automation scripts as application functionality and requirements evolve.
• Perform manual functional testing when required.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
