Junior Java Backend Developer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java. Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following coding standards. Participate in application design, development, testing, and deployment. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues. Work with databases to design queries, procedures, and data models. Assist in code reviews and implement feedback from senior developers. Create and maintain technical documentation. Support application performance optimization and security improvements. Required Skills Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Understanding of Spring Boot and Spring Framework basics. Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture. Basic knowledge of SQL and databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. Understanding of Git/GitHub version control. Knowledge of Maven or Gradle build tools. Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills Exposure to Hibernate/JPA. Knowledge of Docker and containerization. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Experience working on personal, academic, or internship projects.
