Linux Engineer--Remote
Position: Linux Engineer Remote: Remote Duration: long term Linux/AIX Skillsets:
- Application Support experience with in-house developed and vendor applications, including the ability to analyze/troubleshoot/debug/resolve issues
- Available for after hours and weekend on-call support in a rotation
- Moderate level development experience with JAVA and PERL on AIX and Linux
- Moderate level scripting utilizing KORNSHELL writing batch/command line programs and automating processes
- Experience with Apache and Tomcat
- Experience with writing database queries (SYBASE a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret requirements, either paper or by voice, and turn them into usable products
- Experience w/ MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Visio)
- Experience w/ JIRA and Confluence (a plus)
- Need Perl script
- Middleware application support folks will have this experience
