Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Machine Learning Engineer at Labkita.id. The Machine Learning Engineer will design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for production use, focusing on robust pattern recognition and predictive analytics. Day-to-day tasks include exploring datasets, selecting appropriate algorithms, training and evaluating models, and tuning hyperparameters for performance and scalability. The role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to integrate models into applications, build APIs or services, and monitor model performance in production. The Engineer will also document workflows, maintain reproducible experiments, and stay current with relevant research and tools to continuously improve the ML stack.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, with experience implementing efficient, scalable solutions. Solid understanding of Statistics and Pattern Recognition, including model evaluation, validation techniques, and handling real-world data variation. Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and modern machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar). Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in ML (such as Python), and familiarity with data processing libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas). Experience working with real-world datasets, including data cleaning, feature engineering, and performance optimization. Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and basic software engineering practices; familiarity with deploying models as services is a plus.
