Mainframe Developer Job Title: Mainframe Developer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6 Months + possible extension Work Hours: EST Job Summary The State of South Carolina is looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to enhance an existing z/OS financial accounting system. The developer will work on COBOL programs, Natural/Adabas applications, JCL, batch processing, account processing, reconciliation, and financial calculations. Required Skills 5+ years of Enterprise COBOL development on z/OS 5+ years of NaturalOne 3+ years of JCL development and production support 3+ years of financial/accounting systems Experience with Adabas and VSAM Strong Natural and Adabas experience Experience with TSO/ISPF Experience with batch and online mainframe applications Experience analyzing and modifying legacy COBOL systems Experience with copybooks, program call chains, and job streams Experience with reconciliation, accruals, balance maintenance, and month-end processing Preferred Skills CA-7 REXX Python or Java IBM MQ z/OS Connect REST APIs Cash management / treasury systems Account pooling or sweep processing
