Market Research Associate

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Are you an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive professional with a passion for market research? Are you someone that thrives in a fully remote environment, enjoys collaborating with multiple key stakeholders, and takes pride in the work you do? Do you have a sense of curiosity, enjoy learning new things, and want to better understand the healthcare and pharmaceutical market? MD Analytics is looking for a motivated Research Associate to join our team.

The Opportunity: Research Associate based in the Greater Toronto Area

Working with a team in Toronto, you will be responsible for providing proactive day-to-day management of multiple ongoing marketing research projects while gaining experience and developing your career in marketing research. We're looking for someone who regularly communicates openly, is comfortable asking questions, and can take initiative by proactively contributing to ongoing project management. This is an entry-level role on an established team that is looking for someone who is interested in learning, contributing to the overall success of the team and company, and building a career in market research.

Reporting to the Research Director, you will be responsible for projects throughout the project lifecycle – from fieldwork to final reporting – while ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. Key areas of focus include quality control for scripting, managing fieldwork, note-taking, creating data table/analysis plans, overseeing the set-up of data tables and coding, doing basic statistical analyses (where applicable), and report development.

MD Analytics is a leader in remote work and transitioned all employees to fully remote positions in 2017. Candidates for this position must be comfortable working from home full-time while adequately managing potential distractions and be willing to engage in an established remote work company culture.

The Ideal Candidate: Requirements and Experience

  • A university degree is required; a focus in marketing, health sciences, statistics, or other relevant discipline is preferred
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Proven skills in critical thinking, attention to detail, and meeting or exceeding deadlines
  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; familiarity in SPSS or other equivalent statistical software packages an asset
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage time
  • Knowledge of research and statistical methods
  • Experience working with quantitative and/or qualitative consumer/customer research methodologies considered a significant asset
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare-related marketing research considered an asset

Compensation and Benefits:

As part of a high-performing team, we offer a competitive salary, health benefits and RRSP matching. We also offer professional development through industry accredited organizations as well as a flexible team environment that recognizes and rewards individual achievements. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Located in the greater Toronto area, this position is home-office based with local-office in-person events every 2-3 months, and a company-wide in-person event annually. This specific role is only open to candidates living within the Greater Metropolitan areas of Toronto. Other areas in Canada may be considered depending on skill level.

MD Analytics is an equal opportunity employer. Only qualified applicants will be contacted without paying attention to race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family status or disability or other characteristics.
