Marketing Specialist
Smartland is hiring a Marketing Virtual Assistant to support our marketing efforts across our real estate, property management, and pest control brands. This is not a basic social media posting role. We need someone who understands marketing strategy and execution, including SEO, not just how to schedule a post.
Location: Must be based in the Philippines. Remote.
What you'd actually do:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns across email, social, and other channels, thinking through audience, timing, and goals, not just posting content.
- Own SEO for our websites and content: keyword research, on-page optimization, meta titles and descriptions, internal linking, and monitoring rankings.
- Write and edit marketing copy: emails, ads, landing pages, social captions, blog posts, all with SEO best practices in mind.
- Manage and grow our social media presence with a strategic content calendar tied to actual business goals (leads, brand awareness, retention), not just "keeping the feed active."
- Track campaign and SEO performance (rankings, organic traffic, open rates, engagement, click throughs, conversions) and report back on what's working.
- Support email marketing: building sequences, segmenting lists, monitoring deliverability and performance.
- Research competitors, industry trends, and audience insights to inform strategy, including competitor SEO and keyword gaps.
- Coordinate with designers, freelancers, or other team members on marketing assets.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all our companies and channels.
- Assist with website and landing page updates focused on SEO best practices.
What we expect:
- You think like a marketer first. You can explain why a campaign or SEO decision should work, not just execute a checklist.
- You're proactive: you flag what's not working and suggest better approaches without being asked.
- You write clean, persuasive, SEO friendly copy in English.
- You're organized and can manage multiple campaigns and projects at once without things slipping.
- You communicate clearly and reliably, especially across time zones.
- You take ownership. We're not looking for someone who needs every task spelled out.
Qualifications:
- Based in the Philippines.
- 3+ years of marketing experience preferred, ideally with real accountability for strategy, SEO, or campaign results, not just content posting.
- Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals: funnels, audience targeting, messaging, analytics.
- Working knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Yoast, or similar).
- Experience with social media management tools and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or similar).
- Comfortable with analytics and reporting (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
- Excellent written English.
