Job Description
Our Client is seeking an experienced, full-time, on-site Candidate with skills and expertise as described below. Responsibilities:
- Support migrating legacy Microsoft Access Applications to Microsoft SQL Server.
- Support roughly a dozen IT-supported Access applications built over the last 20 years, some of which support mission-critical functions and face compatibility issues with newer Access versions.
- Handle front-end and back-end separation, migrating backends to SQL Server and updating front ends accordingly.
- Modify VBA code for database structure changes and compatibility with Office versions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other development staff.
- Work with the app hosting team to optimize Access database setup on virtual desktops.
- Report to the IT Supervisor and coordinate with Business staff for testing and validation.
- Document all implemented changes.
