Position: Bilingual French STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety Type:Contract Compensation:$58–$62/hour Location:Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Write expert-level prompts in French across specialized scientific topics.
- Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
- Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
- Work independently and asynchronously to enhance AI model safety.
- Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure model outputs align with scientific standards.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
- Native or near-native fluency in French and business-level written English.
- Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
- Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.
Preferred
- Based in France or the wider Western Europe region.
- Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, or related fields.
- Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic synthesis or molecular biology.
- Experience with chemical safety, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling.
- Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
