Role Overview Apply your Clinical Documentation Integrity expertise to evaluate and improve documentation quality, coding accuracy, and revenue integrity workflows used in advanced healthcare systems. What You Will Be Doing
- Review and assess clinical documentation improvement outputs, physician queries, and coding recommendations
- Evaluate inpatient and outpatient documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with clinical standards
- Support DRG optimization, CC/MCC capture, and severity of illness documentation accuracy
- Develop and oversee physician query processes aligned with industry guidelines
- Monitor CDI performance metrics such as case mix index, query response rates, and DRG accuracy
- Provide structured feedback on AI-generated documentation improvement suggestions
- Collaborate with clinical, coding, and compliance teams to address documentation gaps
Who You Are Looking For
- Experienced CDI professional with leadership experience in clinical documentation programs
- Strong knowledge of MS-DRG methodology, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, and CC/MCC hierarchies
- Expertise in physician query processes aligned with AHIMA and ACDIS guidelines
- Clinical background with ability to interpret complex medical records and documentation
- Familiarity with CDI tools and electronic health record systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation review skills
