Role Description This is a full-time, remote Product Designer role focused on shaping intuitive, visually compelling experiences across Merch.com’s platform. The Product Designer will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business goals and user needs into clear product requirements, flows, and interaction patterns. Daily responsibilities include conducting user research and usability testing, creating wireframes and prototypes, and refining designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback. The role also involves developing and maintaining design systems, ensuring consistency across web and integrations, and contributing to design strategy for new features that support global merch operations. The Product Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are user-centered, scalable, and aligned with Merch.com’s brand and product vision.
Qualifications
Strong Product Design and Visual Design skills, with experience creating interfaces that are both functional and aesthetically consistent. Proficiency in Design Thinking and UX Research to define problems, validate assumptions, and guide end-to-end product decisions. Hands-on experience with User Research methods, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design improvements. Ability to translate insights from UX Research and Product Design into clear user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Comfort working with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and collaborating within cross-functional product teams. Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present design rationale to technical and non-technical partners. Experience designing for SaaS platforms, logistics, or ecommerce ecosystems is beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work within iterative product cycles.
