We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Merchandiser to handle the role of Product Development for our gloves category. The ideal candidate will work closely with design and production with high-quality gloves, ensuring they meet market trends, target cost and customer needs. This role requires a passion for innovation, collaboration, and a thorough understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Design & Development:
- Collaborate with the design team and factory to create innovative glove designs based on market research and customer feedback.
- Develop prototypes and samples, conducting tests to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
Market Research:
- Analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to inform product development strategies.
- Conduct surveys and gather feedback to refine product concepts.
Material Sourcing & Testing:
- Identify and source appropriate materials for glove production, ensuring durability and comfort.
- Oversee testing materials and products to comply with safety and quality standards.
Production Oversight:
- Work closely with production teams to ensure seamless manufacturing
- Resolve any production issues that may arise, ensuring timely delivery of products.
Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop product launch strategies and promotional materials.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- 3+ years of experience in glove product development.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards for gloves.
- Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD).
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
