Programmer - Consultant

Required Skills - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline with eight years of experience. Ten years of experience without a bachelor's degree acceptable. - 8 to 10 years of full stack system development in a complex and mission-critical three-tier system development environment spanning COBOL, .NET, Web/Mobile, Oracle, and MS SQL Server. - Strong DevSecOps skills and familiarity, including formal release management processes, comprehensive testing (not just "Happy Path"), and strong collaboration and coaching skills. - COBOL development with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL using Visual Studio 2019/2022 in Windows Server 2022 under IIS. (MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL V7, V9, or higher strongly preferred.) - Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server). Preferred Skills - Visual Studio 2019 and higher – Debugging - Microsoft Team Foundation Server - Microsoft C# .NET - SQL for Oracle DB and MS SQL Server - IIS configuration/setup - MicroFocus certifications - DevSecOps certifications Notes - Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor.
