Project / Operations Lead
About the Role
JG Management Group is looking for a Project / Operations Lead to help manage client projects from approved scope through completion. You will be responsible for keeping projects organized, coordinating the contractors and specialists completing the work, tracking deadlines and deliverables, and making sure client engagements stay on schedule and within scope. This is a good fit for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable managing multiple moving parts, and able to take ownership without constant supervision.
What You'll Do
Turn approved client scopes into clear project plans, tasks, milestones, and deadlines. Coordinate contractors, specialists, and client responsibilities throughout the project. Track project progress, blockers, outstanding items, and upcoming deadlines. Maintain accurate project information and status updates in Airtable. Communicate routine project updates with clients and project teams. Keep specialists aligned with assigned work and approved project scope. Identify delays, missing information, scope creep, and other risks early. Review completed work for completeness before final quality review. Coordinate revisions, implementation, training, and final project handoff. What We're Looking For 2–5+ years of experience in project management, operations, implementation, consulting, or similar work. Experience managing projects from kickoff through completion. Experience coordinating contractors, freelancers, vendors, or cross-functional teams. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities. Able to communicate professionally with business owners and client stakeholders. Familiarity with Airtable, Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, Notion, or similar tools. Able to work independently and hold others accountable for assigned work.
Nice to Have
Experience in consulting, agency work, startups, or professional services. Experience with process improvement, SOPs, workflow design, or business systems. Experience managing project budgets or contractor costs. Experience working with implementation or technical specialists.
Compensation
This is a project-based independent contractor role. Compensation is agreed upon before each project based on the size, complexity, expected workload, and responsibilities of the engagement. There is no guaranteed salary, hourly wage, minimum number of projects, or guaranteed amount of work. Strong performers may receive priority for future client projects and opportunities for increased responsibility as JG Management grows.
