It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!

Job Description:

Purchasing Controller

The Ingram Micro Difference

Ingram Micro is a leading technology company for the global information technology ecosystem.

With the ability to reach nearly 90% of the global population, we play a vital role in the worldwide IT sales channel, bringing products and services from technology manufacturers and cloud providers to business-to-business technology experts.

Our market reach, diverse solutions and services portfolio, and digital platform Ingram Micro Xvantage™ set us apart.

Here, we believe we grow further, together, empowering talented people to innovate, lead, and create meaningful impact while shaping the future of technology.

The Opportunity

As a Purchasing Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of products across our business by managing purchasing activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting strong supplier relationships. You'll collaborate closely with sales, finance, logistics, and vendor partners to ensure product availability, optimize purchasing performance, and drive operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, leveraging data to make informed decisions, and improving processes that directly impact customer satisfaction and business results.

Here's Where You Come In

  • Manage the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, ensuring timely order placement, tracking, and fulfillment.

  • Monitor inventory levels, demand trends, and purchasing requirements to maintain optimal stock availability.

  • Coordinate with vendors, distributors, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment, pricing, invoicing, and supply issues.

  • Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify opportunities for cost optimization, improved service levels, and risk mitigation.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, purchasing controls, and operational procedures.

  • Support process improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency, reporting accuracy, and overall supply chain performance.

  • Assist in training and guiding junior team members while contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

You Might Be a Great Fit If

  • You have experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory control, or vendor management within a distribution, technology, or fast-paced commercial environment.

  • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

  • You use data and business insight to identify issues, make recommendations, and drive effective outcomes.

  • You are confident collaborating with cross-functional teams and building productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • You are proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze reports and translate data into action.

Why You'll Love Working Here

You'll join a collaborative team where your contributions directly influence business performance and customer experience. This role offers exposure to a broad network of vendors, technologies, and business stakeholders across a global organization.

At Ingram Micro, you'll have opportunities to strengthen your procurement expertise, broaden your supply chain knowledge, and develop the skills needed for future growth and leadership opportunities.

At Ingram Micro, we invest in your future. Through continuous learning, leadership opportunities, and a commitment to fostering innovation, we ensure every team member thrives in their career journey.

Take the next step in your career journey with a role designed to help you grow and succeed. Our commitment to inclusion helps us build stronger teams, better ideas, and a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Let's shape tomorrow.

Your ambition empowers tomorrow's technology, today.
