[Remote] Associate Engineer, Operational Technology
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, develops molecular diagnostic systems and tests for life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology. The Associate Engineer, Operational Technology supports and maintains OT network infrastructure across manufacturing and laboratory environments, partnering with technical and site teams to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant connectivity. The role also supports troubleshooting, cybersecurity initiatives, documentation, monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of OT network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and laboratory network issues
- Assist with OT cybersecurity and network segmentation initiatives
- Maintain network documentation and monitoring tools
- Support automation and continuous improvement within NetDevOps
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
- 0-3 years of experience supporting enterprise or OT networks
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, wireless, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for OT environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel - 15 % travel, overnight, to California locations as needed
- Supporting regulated manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, device configuration, and system monitoring
