[Remote] Associate Software Engineer-Mobile-Android
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Marriott International is the world’s largest hotel company, operating a global portfolio of brands and hotels. The Associate Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement features for the Marriott Bonvoy Android mobile app while collaborating with multidisciplinary product teams and following engineering, security, design, and delivery standards.
Responsibilities
- Delivers assigned features as expected
- Participates in requirements and code reviews
- Complies with defined development and business case processes
- Coordinates with appropriate IT and vendor relations teams as assigned
- May provide consultation for routine systems development
- Coordinates with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activities
- Follows all defined IR standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed
- Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk
- Follows the defined project management standards and processes
Skills
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience/certifications
- Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong verbal, written communication and teamwork skills
- Basic/introductory knowledge of Kotlin/Android Development
