[Remote] Associate Structural Engineer - Industrial
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Olsson is an engineering and design firm that develops solutions for clients across industrial and other sectors. The Associate Structural Engineer will support industrial facility projects through engineering analysis, structural design, calculations, modeling, construction documentation, project coordination, collaboration, quality delivery, mentoring, and field site visits.
Responsibilities
- Design Solutions by developing calculations, models, and construction documents to deliver safe, practical industrial facilities
- Deliver Projects by supporting design, coordination, and project documentation for successful project outcomes
- Solve Challenges by applying engineering principles and collaborating with experienced engineers to develop effective solutions
- Collaborate Across Teams with engineers, designers, clients, and contractors to advance project goals
- Grow Your Expertise through hands-on experience with structural analysis, design software, and real-world projects
- Support Quality Delivery by preparing calculations, reports, and documentation that meet project requirements
- Develop Others by mentoring interns and sharing technical knowledge
- Gain Field Experience through site visits that verify conditions and support design and construction activities
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well with a team
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a Structural emphasis
- A minimum of one year of engineering experience
- Must possess an Engineer Intern (EI) certificate
- Experience developing detailed 3D models and construction documentation in Autodesk Revit
- Familiar with ACAD Software, RISA 3D, EnerCalc, MS Excel, and Hilti/Dewalt design
