[Remote] Azure Cloud Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Recurring Decimal is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to support application teams and cloud-based data platforms. The role focuses on ServiceNow support, onboarding DLZs, provisioning and modifying Azure and Databricks resources, automating processes, maintaining documentation, and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support to application teams via ServiceNow ticketing system
• Gather and analyze requirements to onboard new DLZs
• Execute pipelines and scripts to provision or modify Azure and Databricks resources
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve existing support processes
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for support procedures and workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve common support requests efficiently

Skills

• - 1–3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks
• - 1–3 years of experience with Azure Data Factory
• - Background in application support or technical operations
• - Familiarity with major cloud platforms i.e. Azure, AWS, GCP
• - Experience with source control i.e. Git, GitHub, GitLab
• - In-depth knowledge of Databricks features such as Unity Catalog, RBAC, authentication methods, delta sharing
• - Databricks
• - Experience working within the Azure ecosystem
• - Proficiency in IaC tools i.e. Terraform, AWS CDK, Bicep
• - Experience with CI/CD pipelines using automation tools i.e. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• - Experience in scripting and development skills i.e. Python, PowerShell, Bash
