[Remote] Backend Engineer with Node Connectivity
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Centraprise is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to work on backend node connectivity solutions. The role focuses on designing and implementing reliable, secure, simple, and high-performance product features, collaborating across engineering teams, mentoring developers, debugging issues, and evaluating system performance.

- Lead in the design and development of Meraki’s node connectivity solution
- Work with all teams across Engineering to improve core functionality and optimize development cycles
- Mentor junior developers in the art of software engineering
- Drive debugging of issues when things don't go as planned
- Be responsible for evaluating the performance of existing components and subsystems
Skills
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience writing production code in C/C++
- Comfort working in a Linux and/or embedded systems environment
- Networking foundational knowledge (LANs, routing, switching, wireless)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with gRPC
- Expertise in networking, including TCP/IP(v4, v6) networks, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP, ARP
- Experience with embedded systems development such as Yocto and buildroot
- Experience with network security
- Passion to improve code, implement reusable design patterns, and use industry best coding practices
