[Remote] Business Development Representative (REMOTE)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RMS Roller-Grinder manufactures particle size reduction equipment for industries including brewing and agriculture. The Business Development Representative will expand the company’s market presence by researching new segments, conducting proactive outbound prospecting, building relationships with decision-makers, and converting prospects into customers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research new markets and customer segments that RMS can serve
- Develop and execute strategic plans to bring RMS into new industries
- Drive new business through proactive outbound prospecting, with a strong emphasis on cold calling
- Connect with key decision-makers, build relationships, and turn prospects into customers
- Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations
- Work with sales and marketing to fine-tune strategies and maximize impact
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and new opportunities
- Represent RMS at trade shows, industry events, and conferences
Skills
- No degree required. We care about your skills, not your diploma
- A self-starter who is confident initiating conversations and creating new opportunities
- Someone who is comfortable and effective with cold calling and outbound outreach, because this has proven to be the strongest path to success in the role
- A strong communicator who can quickly build trust and engagement
- A creative thinker who brings fresh approaches to business growth
- Willingness to travel as needed to trade shows
- Experience in capital equipment sales or working in processing industries
- Experience breaking into new markets through outbound prospecting and cold outreach
