[Remote] Cloud Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DXC Luxoft is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support and enhance secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments. The role focuses on cloud operations, governance, automation, security, monitoring, networking, and CI/CD while ensuring alignment with enterprise and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer enterprise cloud environments and services
- Implement cloud governance, security controls, access management, tagging, guardrails, SCPs, and cost-management practices
- Identify vulnerabilities and support security risk mitigation
- Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operational activities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure and automated deployments
- Monitor cloud performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and networking issues
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and cloud reliability initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to continuously improve cloud environments
Skills
- 4+ years of recent experience in Cloud IT Operations or Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Advanced experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience using Python and/or PowerShell
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, monitoring, security, access controls, governance, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise cloud environments
- Experience using AI tools for cloud automation, operational analysis, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvements
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments, particularly healthcare
- Self-driven personality
- Excellent communication skills
