[Remote] Cloud Infrastructure Network Engineer

This role involves designing, deploying, and operating cloud networking infrastructure, requiring a combination of traditional and cloud-native networking expertise.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate cloud networking infrastructure across one or more major cloud providers
- Cover VPC/VNet design, hybrid connectivity, transit topologies, edge networking, DNS, and security controls
- Work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
- Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
- Raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
- Five or more years of experience in networking, with significant time on cloud networking
- Deep hands-on experience with networking on at least one major cloud provider
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, BGP, and modern networking fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, or equivalents)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code for cloud networking, especially Terraform
- Strong understanding of cloud security and network controls
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and service mesh fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and packet-level analysis skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Cloud networking specialty certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer)
- Experience with multi-cloud networking and cloud-to-cloud connectivity
- Familiarity with SD-WAN platforms and SASE architectures
- Experience with eBPF-based networking tools
- Exposure to regulated industries with strict network segmentation requirements
