[Remote] Cloud Network Engineer 2
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gormat is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer 2 to support the operation and administration of cloud network communications systems. The role focuses on designing, implementing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud network architectures and infrastructure, including cloud servers, operating systems, networks, routers, firewalls, switches, and gateways.
Responsibilities
- Supports the operation of the cloud backbone for network communications systems
- Provides specifications and detailed schematics for cloud network architectures
- Administer, monitor, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of systems
- Conducts testing of network design
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software, virtual appliances, interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc
- Understands how commodity cloud servers, operating systems and networks function, perform and scale
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience
- IAT-2 certification required
- One or more cloud certifications required
- Active Secret clearance required
